Opt-Out - Definition

Digital advertising is the land of acronyms and technical terms. Our glossary can help you make sense of it all with definitions of the most common terminology.

What is Opt-Out?

A user-signaled preference to opt out of receiving behaviorally targeted ads is known as an opt-out. Users have the option to opt out of receiving such ads from Criteo by visiting our Privacy page or by clicking on the blue ‘i’ icon located on each Criteo banner. This allows users to manage their ad preferences and prevent the use of their browsing behavior for targeted advertising.
