Programmatic Mediation - Definition

Digital advertising is the land of acronyms and technical terms. Our glossary can help you make sense of it all with definitions of the most common terminology.

What is Programmatic Mediation?

A Programmatic Advertising platform enables media owners, such as app developers, to integrate multiple demand sources—typically ad networks—into one system. These sources compete for the publisher's ad inventory, often using a waterfall setup, where the highest-paying demand source gets priority. This setup ensures that the inventory is maximized by allowing different demand sources to bid for available ad space in an organized, sequential manner, helping publishers optimize revenue while maintaining control over the ad process.
